Applied Concepts in Oncology and Medical Imaging

Catalog description

In this course students gain hands on experiences related to several aspects of treatment delivery and imaging using the Radiation Therapy Virtual Reality System (VERT). Such concepts include, but are not limited to, image guided radiation therapy, anatomy, treatment machine components, treatment planning in radiation therapy, simulation, and treatment delivery and patient safety. Prerequisite: RT 310 , RT 325 ; concurrent enrollment in RT 380 and RT 390 ; admission to Radiation Therapy Program. Offered Spring.
