Public Budgeting and Finance

Catalog description

In this course students explore the public budgetary process and how important nonprofit and government services are financed and implemented at the federal, state, and local levels. A wide variety of budgeting and finance concepts and strategies are investigated, including the various approaches to taxation, decision-making, public policy evaluation, and the latest in budgeting innovations and reforms. Prerequisite: PUB 210 or junior standing. Offered Fall.
