Catalog description

This course is an overview of the 'journey of adulthood' including both continuity and change. Students are introduced to major historical and theoretical perspectives on adult development as well as primary methodological techniques for studying adult development. Students examine milestones and transitions in traditional developmental domains (physical, cognitive, and social and emotional) and explore individual responses and adjustments to these experiences. Prerequisite: PSY 212 or gerontology emphasis. Offered Annually.
