Catalog description

This course focuses on the effects of culture, specifically White culture, on the nature and behavior of individuals in the United States, their adaptations to institutions and environments, and their relations within and outside their culture. We also explore psychological constructs such as racism, prejudice, microaggression, stereotype threat, and white supremacy thinking. CGER CP-CU Civics & Perspective: Communities of the United States. Prerequisite: PSY 100 ; sophomore standing. Offered Annually.
