Catalog description
This course explores how laws are made in the United States focusing on Congress and state legislatures. Students examine elections, representation, legislative procedure, and policymaking, as well as the interplay between legislatures and the executive and judicial branches. The course addresses both domestic and foreign policy. The course also includes analysis of Wisconsin government and politics with a focus on the Wisconsin State Legislature. Prerequisite: POL 101 , POL 102 , POL 110 , or junior standing. Offered Alternate Years.
