International Relations in a Changing World

This introductory course explores the evolution of international relations and global governance, examining how historical forces and contemporary trends shape our interconnected world. Drawing on diverse theoretical perspectives, the course analyzes critical global issues such as globalization and transnationalism, peace and conflict, economic development and inequality, justice and human rights, and other global challenges and opportunities. Students learn to critically evaluate information, assess different viewpoints, and apply theoretical frameworks to understand complex global problems. By engaging with historical and contemporary cases, students develop a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing international relations today.
