Catalog description
This course is designed to prepare students to use the piano as a functional vehicle of expression and as an accompanying instrument. Students continue developing physical coordination of keyboard performance skills, building basic technique, applying keyboard theory, and harmonizing melodies. Primary emphasis is to increase performance ability at first sight through practice strategies, musical analysis, and several pieces of piano literature. Prerequisite: MUS 146 . Offered Fall - Odd Numbered Years.
