Mathematics and Statistics Capstone

Catalog description

This senior-level capstone allows students to integrate and reflect on key concepts from their major while preparing for careers or graduate study. Students complete a focused project, deliver seminar-style presentations, and communicate mathematical or statistical ideas in written form. The course emphasizes professional development, including career and graduate school planning, and active participation in reflective assessment of the major. The semester concludes with a formal poster presentation during the department seminar. Prerequisite: senior standing; mathematics, statistics, or data science major. Offered Fall.
