Catalog description

A continuation of Calculus I with a rigorous introduction to sequences and series. Topics include techniques of integration, improper integrals, tests for the convergence of series, power series representations of functions, Taylor's Theorem with Remainder, and a variety of applications to physical sciences including arc length, areas of surfaces of revolution, and parametric and polar equations. CGER MQR-QR Mathematics & Quantitative Reasoning: Quantitative Reasoning. Prerequisite: grade of "C" or better in MTH 207 . Offered Fall, Spring.
