Catalog description

This course focuses on how managers use compensation strategies to attract, retain, and motivate valued employees while controlling labor costs, all in pursuit of the organization's overarching strategy for success. Topics include components of effective compensation systems as well as their theoretical foundations. Creating an effective pay structure, benefits, the legal environment, and international pay systems are also examined. Prerequisite: MGT 308 or MGT 385 or concurrent enrollment.
