Catalog description

Hinduism is a major world religion practiced by over a billion people, primarily in South Asia. This course introduces students to Hindu culture and religion through a study of its thought, beliefs, rituals, ethics, and religious practices. While emphasis is placed on classical Hinduism, this course also covers Hinduism and modernity, modern Hindu movements, and Hinduism as a global religion. CGER CP-CW Civics & Perspective: Cultures of Our World. Offered Occasionally.
