Catalog description

The goal of this course is to have students perform consistently at the Novice High and emerging into Intermediate Low proficiency level on the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. This course expands on the units taught in Hoocak I, II, and III. At the end of the course, students should be able to engage in simple conversations and negotiate meaning within the limits of expanded practiced vocabulary and common sentence structures. This course integrates all competencies in the instruction of the Hoocak language and culture for the standards of Communication, Culture, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities, as outlined in the Hoocak Language Standards, which align with the World Readiness Standards for Learning. CGER CP-CW Civics & Perspective: Cultures of Our World. Prerequisite: HCK 201 . Consent of department. Offered Occasionally.
