Catalog description
This course explores the application of financial theories and models using Microsoft Excel and other tools to make financial decisions. Students utilize financial spreadsheet functions, apply sensitivity and scenario analysis techniques, and develop proficiency in financial modeling for time value of money, investment evaluation, loan analysis, capital budgeting, asset valuation, and option strategies and arbitrage. Prerequisite: FIN 355 ; MTH 160 or MTH 175 or MTH 207 ; STAT 145 or STAT 245 . Offered Fall, Spring.
