Catalog description

This course is designed to provide the student with an overview of foundational exercise program design, working knowledge of proper lifting and spotting technique, an understanding of basic program design for the general population as well as special populations, and strategies for instructing resistance exercise techniques. This class will also prepare students to sit for the National Strength and Conditioning Association - Certified Personal Trainer Exam. Prerequisite: ESS 205 and ESS 206 , or BIO 312 and BIO 313 . Offered Fall, Spring.
