Catalog description

This course reviews the clinical and diagnostic approach to cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, and provides basic knowledge in evaluation, methodology, and interpretation of fitness testing. Emphasis is placed on population characteristics, participant screening and referral process, alternatives of fitness assessment, and exercise prescription. Lect. 2, Lab 2. Prerequisite: ESS 206 or BIO 313 ; declared exercise and sport science - kinesiology major. Offered Fall, Spring.
