Catalog description
This is an intermediate course exploring selected topics in literature in relation to various historical or cultural contexts. Topics vary according to the interests of students and the instructor. Sample topics include Horror Literature and Film; Classical Greek Drama and Culture; the Bible and/as Literature; Literature and Existentialism; Blues, Jazz, and Literature. Open to all students. Consult English Department for application to major or minor. Repeatable for credit - maximum six credits. Only three credits may be applied to an English major or minor. Prerequisite: one of the following; ENG 200 , ENG 201 , ENG 202 , ENG 203 , ENG 204 , ENG 205 , or ENG 206 . Offered Fall, Spring.
