Catalog description

Family relationships are formed, maintained, and negotiated through communication, and this course uses communication theories and concepts to deepen our understanding of families. Topics may include diverse family types, power, families as systems, conflict, family stories and rituals. Overall, this course provides a theoretical and conceptual examination of families while broadening our cultural understanding of family relationships. Prerequisite: CST 190 and CST 230 . Offered Annually.
