Catalog description

This intermediate hands-on course is an introduction to black and white film-based photography. Students learn to operate a manual 35mm camera, expose and process film, make black and white prints, and explore other darkroom and experimental photography techniques. Coursework includes hand-on studio projects, group critiques, discussions, and demonstrations. To successfully complete course assignments, students must have access to a 35mm film camera with manual exposure control. A limited number of cameras are available for rent through the UWL Photography Lab. Lect. 2, Studio 4. Offered Fall - Odd Numbered Years.
