Catalog description
This course will provide an overview of the Spanish language situation in the U.S. context, discuss in detail varieties of Spanish present in the US (i.e., Mexican Spanish, Cuban Spanish, etc.) and address current issues including, but not limited, to language contact, language attitudes, language and identity, and language policy. P: SPANISH 225 or SPANISH 224 . REC: SPANISH 325 or SPANISH 324 Spring Odd.
