Catalog description

This course promotes scholarly dialogue, strengthens scientific communication skills, and deepens understanding of how psychological research applies to current issues. Students will engage in critical reading and discussion of contemporary psychological research articles. Emphasis will be placed on evaluating research design, interpreting empirical findings, and considering the applied implications of research. Each student will contribute to leading class discussions to develop skills in oral presentation and in communicating complex psychological concepts to non-specialist audiences. Spring.
