Catalog description

This course introduces students to nursing concepts for delivery of evidence-based nursing care of the older adult population. Nursing interventions designed to assist persons with chronic conditions to prevent or reduce common risk factors that contribute to decline in physical and mental function, impair quality of life, and contribute to excess disability are addressed. Students will identify population-focused opportunities to promote wellness for older adults, caregivers/families, and communities. P: Admission to the Traditional Nursing Major; NURSING 240 , NURSING 250 , NURSING 255 , NURSING 270 , NURSING 280 , NURSING 290 Fall Only.
