Catalog description
This course introduces the basic principles of orchestration and arranging for choral, wind, string, and jazz/pop ensembles. Emphasis is upon the development of practical and technical skills, including score and part preparation and idiomatic writing for ensembles of varying levels. Several hands-on orchestration and arranging projects will promote interactive student learning. P: MUSIC 103 , MUSIC 151 , and MUSIC 152 Fall Even.
