Catalog description

This course introduces basic and green manufacturing processes. It covers basic machine and hands-on processes to shape materials to desired specifications. This course also introduces sustainability in manufacturing by looking at the efficient use of energy and raw materials to minimize pollution and waste during the process. The concept of industrial sustainability is explored, and the effects of manufacturing on the environment are examined. P: None. REC: ME 201 FSS.
