Catalog description

This course will provide engineering students with a background in important concepts and principles of chemistry. Emphasis will be on areas relevant for an engineering context with practical applications. In addition to the fundamental concepts of atomic structure, solutions, stoichiometry, kinetics, and enthalpy of reactions, the connections between chemistry, physics, and materials science will be investigated. P: MATH 104 or concurrent enrollment Fall and Spring.
