Catalog description
A practicum-based course that transforms applied and public-facing work into credit-bearing learning. Students gain hands-on experience through publications, media production, and community engagement tied to centers such as the Teaching Press, Radio GBX, CGIM, Good CAHSS Productions, Media Suites, and The Fourth Estate. The course may also include teaching-methods projects for English Education students. By engaging in creative and scholarly practices, students will develop a professional portfolio and build transferable skills that have a public impact. This course is repeatable for credit if topics differ; may be taken 2 times for a total of 6 earned credits. P: Junior standing or consent of instructor. Fall and Spring.
