Catalog description

Team-taught intermediate-level studio course exploring the artistic practices related to book arts and the book as an art object. Students will be encouraged to build off existing creative skills in combination with techniques such as papermaking, casting, zine making, and book binding. Hands-on projects will be paired with readings and lectures. Course will take place in multiple art studios. Ideal for those that love paper and books in all forms. Course is repeatable for credit; may be taken 2 times for a total of 6 earned credits. P: ART 107 and Jr. standing or permission of instructor REC: Declared major or minor in Art, Design, Theatre or Creative Writing; ENGLISH 212 . FSS.
