Catalog description

This course is an introductory survey to D/disability—as an identity, culture, and theoretical framework—intended for students at any level or in any discipline. We will examine definitions and models of disability, the history of the disability rights movement, intersections with other theoretical frameworks, and how disability is represented culturally and within media.
