Catalog description

This course provides an opportunity to enhance acquisition of the fundamental elements of American Sign Language. Emphasis is placed on the progressive development of basic expressive and receptive skills through the use of supplementary learning media and materials. Upon completion, students should be able to comprehend and respond with grammatical accuracy to expressive American Sign Language and demonstrate cultural awareness. This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement.
