Catalog description

This course is designed for students who have completed VET 106 Veterinary Practice Management and have been accepted into the Veterinary Nursing program. This course will introduce learners to the expectations of veterinary technicians including veterinary medical records, admitting procedures, and record maintenance via hands-on experience. It will cover basic bookkeeping skills, inventory control measures, marketing, scheduling interpersonal communication, phone etiquette, professionalism, working with difficult owners and animals, and the use of computer software specifically designed for use in veterinary clinics and hospitals.
