This course will introduce learners to the field of veterinary medicine and animal science, focusing on the specific roles and responsibilities of the veterinary assistant. Learners will be introduced to the basic principles of animal handling and care, common animal breeds, safety in the veterinary setting and first aid. This course also gives an overview of veterinary medical terminology.
