The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records and applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. It is important to understand and abide by FERPA regulations to protect the confidentiality of eligible students’ education records in accordance with federal law. The WSU Tech FERPA Quiz is to be completed after reviewing the WSU Tech General FERPA Overview document. Participants are encouraged to reference the FERPA document as they work through the questions. WSU Tech employees are required to take the FERPA Quiz and must pass with an 80% or better.
