Catalog description

The Geometric dimensioning and tolerance course is an in-depth study designed to develop a working knowledge in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as it applies to Machining. It is delivered per the ASME Y14.5M, 1994 standard. This program has been presented and refined over the past 25 years and covers what personnel need to know in order to work in a Machining environment on a daily basis. The course includes emphasis on all the basics, such as the rules, measurement theory, the datum reference frame, form, orientation, profile and positional tolerancing. The program materials contain book exercises as well as hands on projects from projects that are student machined and then GD&T principles are applied for a real world experience.
