Design Studio III

Catalog description

This is the third course in the Design Studios series. In this course students will further develop competencies in solving design problems. Technical and conceptual concerns, color theory, lighting technology, scale, materials selection, and creative design articulation through presentation and illustrations are critical elements for this class. Development of invoicing techniques, material selection, working within codes and standards and working with a budget is emphasized in the course. Students will be working with real time case studies. Students may be invited to participate in events such as the Wichita Area Building Associations (WABA) Parade of Homes. Focus will be on Commercial.
