Soil Compaction and Material

Catalog description

This course provides applied training in soil compaction and earthmoving operations using scrapers and compaction equipment. Students will learn how to prepare and stabilize soils, balance cut-and-fill operations, and manage material movement to achieve engineered grade and density requirements. Emphasis is placed on safe operation, production efficiency, and quality control techniques used in large-scale site development. Students will demonstrate proficiency through hands-on performance evaluations in compaction, load balance, and scraper operation.
