Catalog description

This course develops the applied skills needed to interpret civil construction drawings, calculate material quantities, and evaluate soil conditions for excavation and grading operations. Students will apply mathematical concepts to determine grades, slopes, volumes, and elevations while interpreting plans, profiles, and specifications. Emphasis is placed on analyzing soil characteristics, performing layout calculations, and applying critical thinking to ensure accuracy and safety in earthwork planning and execution.
