Catalog description

This course introduces students to basic methods and equipment used in overhead and underground power distribution installations. Instruction includes the safe operation of trenching, excavating, and boring equipment, as well as the fundamentals of underground utility placement. Students are also introduced to common electrical test equipment and its use in verifying system integrity and safety. Hands-on activities reinforce proper equipment operation, testing techniques, and compliance with industry standards.
