Catalog description

This course introduces the basic principles and operation of system components of wireless communication systems. The course begins with traditional analog systems, modern digital techniques, and continues into cellular, radio, paging systems, and wireless data networks, data communication and the internet, high-definition television, and fiber optics. The lab portion of this course includes traditional analog AM, SSB, and angle modulation systems, modern digital techniques including Pulse-Amplitude Modulation (PAM), PAM Time-Division Multiplexing, and Pulse-Time Modulation techniques.
