This course introduces students to foundational welding concepts and practices using the Lincoln Electric Education Partner Schools (LEEPS) curriculum. Designed to align with NC3 certification standards, the course emphasizes industry-relevant terminology, welding theory, and hands-on skill development. Students will learn to interpret welding specifications, apply proper procedures, and evaluate weld quality through both visual inspection and testing methods. Emphasis is placed on understanding the factors that influence weld integrity, including material condition, current, arc length, and travel speed. Learners will also explore common and advanced welding challenges, equipment troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to pursue NC3 certifications and demonstrate the competencies required for entry-level welding positions in manufacturing and construction industries.
