Introduction to Inclusive Education

Catalog description
The course provides students with an understanding of the characteristics of children with disabilities as defined under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Students will examine a variety of developmentally and ability-appropriate instructional strategies, resources, and programs used to create inclusive learning environments that enable all students to learn and succeed. Individuals taking this course must earn at least a B- for the course to count toward a preliminary credential. *40 hours of fieldwork are required.
