Catalog description

This course provides students interested in teaching or other education careers with field experience (e.g., mentoring, tutoring, after school programming, facilitating family learning events, etc.). Each section of this course has focus (e.g., elementary math tutoring, mentoring high school students in AVID programs, after school art programming, facilitating family science events etc.) set forth by the course instructor and to which relevant field experience is aligned. Students enrolled in this course may be required to complete a Certificate of Clearance which includes a background check. This course may be repeated for credit. Interested students should contact the course instructor for additional course information. Section information text: Pre-req: Must be in the PICES concentration.
