Catalog description

Students will explore the fundamentals of graphic design while learning an array of design tools including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Students will create posters, info-graphics and editorial spreads while learning about illustration, typography and image manipulation. The course will culminate in the production of a zine. In addition to projects, students will explore the history of graphic design through a series of lectures, providing a contextualized approach to both historical and contemporary image-making within our visual culture..
