Catalog description
An examination of human sexuality and gender. Topics will include theological, sociocultural, and biological perspectives on sexuality and gender, and discourse on contemporary topics in the church and broader society, including transgender experiences and diverse gender identities, sexual orientation and identity development, emerging sexual and gender identities, and singleness and sexuality. The course will facilitate analysis and critical reflection upon these topics in light of a Christian worldview. This course meets the Advanced Topic course requirement for the Psychology major. Prerequisite: Psychology Major with Junior or Senior standing, or permission of instructor.
