Catalog description

A course in elementary functions intended to prepare students for MATH 135 or MATH 235 . Topics include the properties of the real number system, inequalities and absolute values, functions and their graphs, solutions of equations, polynomial functions, trigonometric functions, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Emphasis on using functions to model physical or social systems.
