Catalog description

In this course, we will seriously consider, from a distinctly Christian perspective, how various influential Chinese political, philosophical, and literary figures from Confucius to Xi Jinping have defined “China” with respect to the “state”, human nature, individual/communal ethics, social custom, and the political responsibilities of authorities and the people they attempt to govern. Cross-listed with PHIL 323 .
