Catalog description

In this course, students will read the Hebrew and Aramaic narrative accounts of Joseph in Egypt, Daniel and his friends, and Esther in the court of Ahasuerus. Through close study of these stories, students will become more capable readers of Hebrew and Aramaic and will develop greater sensitivity to the literary, historical, and linguistic features that make these narrative accounts so interesting. Prerequisite: HEBR 201 (or equivalent).
