Catalog description

A study of key political, cultural and social aspects of the Middle East from the 19th century to the present, addressing topics such as Arab nationalism, Islamic fundamentalism and Zionism. Special consideration is given to the Arab-Israeli conflict. Offered during the Semester in Jerusalem program. Note: If this course is taken through direct enrollment at Jerusalem University College, it will be considered transfer credit. Prerequisite: GPS 231 .
