Catalog description
This course is designed to facilitate students' substantive engagement with postcolonial writers from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Given the topic’s breadth, this course will vary from one instantiation to another. Topics may include colonial/postcolonial pairings and/or a regional focus. Students across classes will work to situate postcolonial literature within broader frameworks of history, politics, and culture. Readings will include both literature and theory.
