Catalog description
An examination of how contemporary algorithmic techniques work, how they affect society, and how Christians should respond. After beginning with a general introduction to programming (assuming no prior experience), this course leads students to understand the principles of machine learning and large language models so that they can live faithfully in a world shaped by these technologies. Not intended for students who have taken a CSCI course. Satisfies: AIS, AAQR, SIP. Prerequisite: CORE 101 .
