Catalog description

Like CORE 101 , this seminar introduces students to the Christian liberal arts by engaging enduring questions in a theologically informed way. Common material will include essential biblical and theological content that grounds investigation of enduring questions, the liberal arts, vocation, and character formation. Students will apply their learning to a specific theme or question related to the faculty member’s discipline. In addition, students will receive intensive writing instruction integrated into the course material, equipping them to grow as writers in the Wheaton College classroom and beyond as they learn to write effectively in a variety of social contexts and to improve their learning and performance in many other facets of their undergraduate education. Prerequisite: Qualifying placement score or qualifying transfer work in writing. Credit not given in addition to CORE 101 or ENGW 103 .
