Catalog description
This course introduces the principles and practice of exegesis in the Old Testament, with sustained attention to the semantics, syntax, and discourse structure of the Hebrew text. Students will develop skills in close reading of Hebrew narrative and poetry, learning to analyze grammatical forms, lexical choices, literary patterns, and structural features as foundations for interpretation. Prerequisite: HEBR 101 , HEBR 102 , HEBR 201 .
